Famous XKCD comic

Well, this post is tagged as “lazy”, but it’s not that much lazy as it is geeky. And by geeky, I mean the most geekiest thing that you have ever saw!

You all know that comic from XKCD, where guy says to his friend to make him a sandwich, and the other guy says “make it yourself”. Then the guy says “SUDO make me a sandwich” and the other guy says “ok” :D
If you don’t have a clue what’s so hilarious here, then go google a bit for that special “sudo” command in unix-based OSes.

For the rest of you who know what is funny here – read on.
These guys decided to make a robot that will make sandwiches, completely controlled from unix shell. And what’s even more funnier – you control it with that exact command from the comic!

So, if you enter “Make me a sandwich” – you will get “What? Make it yourself”.
Then, you type the same command, but with “sudo”, like this: “sudo make me a sandwich” – after which you will get “okay” and the robot will start with preparation of your sandwich :D

Oh, laziness…

There is a saying that most innovative people on Earth are lazy people. And I totally agree on that one. Lazy people can invent some very useful stuff, like a kitchen mixer, laundry machine or something like that, but sometimes they create things that are just…not meant to be.

So is this ice cream rotator. C’mon, is it really THAT hard to spin your cone and lick the ice cream? Or would you rather stick your tounge out and let this battery powered gizmo spins the ice cream?
